Day 1
Fly overnight to Johannesburg.
Day 2
Connect with a short onward flight to Windhoek, where you'll be greeted and driven to your hotel in the suburbs. You have the rest of the afternoon to relax and recuperate from your long journey. This evening you might want to sample Joe's Beerhouse or The Olive Restaurant, two very different Windhoek dining options!
Day 3
After breakfast you'll be transferred to the airport for a scenic light aircraft flight to Sesriem. Here you'll be collected and driven to your accommodation for a two night stay.
Day 4
A guided excursion to the Namib's towering dunes and ethereal vleis is included in your stay. Relaxation time at your lodge offers some outstanding desert and mountain views.
Day 5
After transferring to the airstrip, there will be a flight north to Swakopmund, with the potential for stunning vistas of the wild Skeleton Coast. On landing, you'll be picked up and taken to your central guesthouse for a two night stay.
Day 6
There are no excursions included in this price, but we can easily book you a number of exciting excursions in Swakopmund, from guided desert treks and quad biking to kayaking with seals.
Day 7
This morning's flight takes you into southern Damaraland, for a two night stay amidst the tumbling kopjes and rugged mountains of the Twyfelfontein Conservancy.
Day 8
You will probably want to book a guided excursion during your stay, and we would strongly recommend a nature drive to search for desert elephant or a visit to the ancient Twyfelfontein rock art site.
Day 9
A road transfer to the airstrip is followed by a light aircraft flight to the private Ongava Reserve, just outside Etosha National Park. Here you will stay for two nights, and you might want to book an afternoon / evening activity.
Day 10
Two guided safari activities are included today, giving you the chance to look for the striking diversity of wildlife in the Ongava Reserve. You will certainly want to try a game drive, and there is also the chance to track white rhino, partially on foot.
Day 11
After breakfast there's a light aircraft transfer south to Windhoek. From here it's a short sector to Johannesburg and an overnight flight home.
Day 12
Arrive in the UK.

First time Namibia visitors often have a classic route in mind, covering the renowned highlights of Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Damaraland and Etosha. So popular is this route that there is now a scheduled circuit of light aircraft flights in this clockwise direction, helping to make a fly-in safari less pricey than you might think. Although we regard driving in Namibia as a great pleasure, light aircraft flights reduce transfer times dramatically, leaving far more time for activities and relaxation.
