Day 1
Fly overnight to Johannesburg.
Day 2
Connect with a short flight to Windhoek, where you'll be picked up and transferred into the city to pick up your hire car. After a briefing it's time for the first of many scenic drives, over the stunning Gamsberg Pass for a one night stay amidst the imposing Naukluft Mountains.
Day 3
Today you will drive south through stark, rugged landscapes to the Tsaris Mountains, still within the Namib-Naukluft region. Here you will spend two nights discovering the unique geology and wildlife of one of Namibia's lesser known areas.
Day 4
Walking in the Tsaris Mountains can be sensational for novices and keen hikers alike, and you might also want to enjoy a nature drive.
Day 5
Heading further south beyond Sesriem, you will enter the Namibrand Nature Reserve, vast and isolated with some truly jaw dropping vistas. Here you will spend two nights at one of Southern Namibia's most exclusive camps.
Day 6
Two guided activities per day are included during your stay in the Namibrand, which means a combination of nature drives, guided walks and some exceptional sundowner spots!
Day 7
Head north after breakfast on a drive of roughly two hours, for a two night stay in the Sossusvlei area. Here you will have the chance to discover the definitive high dunes of the Namib Desert, either under your own steam or on a pre-booked guided excursion.
Day 8
A full day to explore Sossusvlei, including the other worldly pan of Dead Vlei, the towering Dune 45 and Sesriem Canyon.
Day 9
Today's picturesque drive north ends at the German colonial town of Swakopmund, on the Atlantic Coast. Here you will stay for two nights in a welcoming, low-key guesthouse.
Day 10
Swakopmund offers varied activities that can be booked in advance, including desert quad biking, kayaking with seals and dune bashing to the remote, beautiful Sandwich Harbour.
Day 11
After a drive back to Windhoek that will take roughly four hours, you can either explore the capital or spend the rest of the day relaxing.
Day 12
Drive to the airport after breakfast to drop off your hire car and catch a flight to Johannesburg. Your final flight travels through the night.
Day 13
Arrive back in the UK.
