Looking out over the surrounding nature reserve, Namib Outpost is one of the most recent additions to the options in the Sossusvlei area, and both the main area and rooms have been designed to maximise on the location and stunning views. Each of the 10 rooms has been thoughtfully designed with a mix of stone and canvas walls, and thatched roof, and has a raised balcony – perfect for stargazing in the evening. There is a pool to cool off from the hot days in the main area, and the lodge offers a variety of activities including guided excursions into Sossusvlei and hikes in the reserve. Operated from its nearby sister property, you can also enjoy horse rides, including sunset rides or even overnight options for more experienced riders.
