Pelican Point Lodge gives a feel of the remoteness of the Skeleton Coast without the expense of a fly in safari. Converted from the old lighthouse, each room is beautifully appointed, with views to make the most of the surroundings. The resident seal colony is encamped just in front of the hotel, and guests can also enjoy viewing the large local bird population. The lodge is not for those wanting to try many activities available in the Swakopmund area as transfers, whilst scenic, are time consuming.
