The Nest has a great location in south west Luderitz, directly on the bay with a private tidal beach and jetty. There are 70 rooms and 3 suites, set around a gardened central courtyard and virtually all boasting excellent sea views. There is a good range of facilities, from satellite TV and Wifi coverage in the rooms to a refreshing swimming pool, restaurant and crayfish bar. There is secure parking for self-drivers, a sauna with sea views and 24 hour desk and room service. Spa treatments and various tours in the area can be booked through the hotel, and it’s easy to walk into the centre to explore the colourful German colonial buildings and take in the ocean breezes. Although slightly functional and lacking in character, there is no reason for complaint with The Nest, which is certainly the best hotel styled-accommodation with the widest range of facilities around Luderitz.
